Covid-19 Statement for ParkPedal

In these unprecedented times we are having to adapt and change our plans for ParkPedal. We have had to make the decision to cancel all our future rides to help stop the spread of the Covid-19 Virus. 

As we are following the government advice we know that staying active and healthy is a big thing in these times. Thats why we have set up an online Strava group for you all to join and be part of a social online community of rides where you can share you individual rides on Saturday mornings and other rides as well.

Taking the first steps on any journey is always the hardest part. ParkPedal is like no other cycling event. Aimed at new, returning and family riders, it is a traffic-free 5 mile ride to ignite and fuel your enthusiasm, passion and drive to start and enhance your cycling journey whatever your starting point. Whether you are looking for a lifestyle change, a new family inclusive activity or just wanting to get some oomph back into your life, ParkPedal is here to kickstart your cycling journey. At The Pedal Revolution we are here to inspire and enable you to start, stretch and achieve your cycling journey. Whether you are taking your first pedal strokes, creating a lifestyle change, riding to commute or for the social craic, challenging yourself or competing in grassroots cycle sport, The Pedal Revolution have a range of innovative and engaging events all year around. 

Building momentum.

After your first event, we will present you with your inaugural ParkPedal certificate to formally launch your cycling journey and at each ten event milestone you complete you can expect another little something to keep you motivated for the following part of your journey. We are with you every pedal revolution along the way ensuring the massive effort you made to get started builds momentum for your journey ahead.

At ParkPedal we have a male and female coaching team ready to help you learn to ride, raise your confidence and transform your bike handling ability. We run 1:1 and group sessions with the aim to prepare you for the next stage of your cycling journey. Once you have mastered ParkPedal’s 5 mile traffic-free route, your confidence has soared and your bike handling has been boosted the next step beckons…

First Pedalling.

Does your young one need to learn to ride before Christmas? Come and see us on Saturdays and book them in to our learn to ride sessions starting in mid-November with our British Cycling qualified coaches. Every new rider learning to ride before Christmas earns a fab discount voucher which we send to Santa in Lapland which he uses for their first bike !

ParkPedal Café Rides.

Cycling is such a family and socially inclusive activity. Especially at ParkPedal. We have at least three café rides at around 10, 20 and 30 miles each week with groups at various speeds to accommodate new, returning and family riders. Riding together and looking out for each other is the only rule we insist upon. Each ride has a nominated leader who knows the route and has at least the basic maintenance skills to fix roadside issues. We also have a trained mechanic and van available to rescue stranded bikes and riders for your complete piece of mind. We scan you in and out to ensure everyone is accounted for and so that your ParkPedal journey record continues with rewards at each and every ten events completed. Your Café Ride mileage also accrues in your ParkPedal account. Learn the basics of riding in a group, hand signals to others and road etiquette. 

ParkPedal Register once, Ride Often.

Register for free online and ride as often as you can. We scan you in and out at every event and your online account tracks your rides, mileage and offers you goals, motivation and incentives along the way. 

Buying your first (or next) bike.

For over 21 years Pedal Revolution have proudly served local cyclists across Norfolk. We are one of the regions last privately-owned independent retailers and one of the few in the UK with a licence to offer nearly all the World’s top brands of bikes and e-bikes. We also offer a full workshop, a bike fit studio, have a significant demo fleet and all our team, as cyclists themselves, are fully trained and share your passion for cycling however far along your cycling journey you may be.
